Today’s Project of the Day is Lost Bohemia.
It often feels like New York City is in constant flux. Construction workers and scaffolding ever present, and while it gives the city an ever-evolving feel, in the back of your head you can’t help but think about all the things that are dying because of development. Josef Astor’s Lost Bohemia follows the story of the Carnegie Artist Studios, a complex above Carnegie Hall where a bevy of artists, including Bill Cunningham, lived and worked for decades, only to be recently forced to move as the landlords made way for a new luxury condo development. Take a peek inside a lost world.
