Amy Lombard started her project by accident one day, when she happened to be photographing inside of an IKEA. After she got home, she realized that she’d captured some people in her shots — and that the overall effect was captivating. The coincidence became inspiration for Happy Inside, a series of images reflecting on the canned nature of IKEA home displays. She says she ate more Swedish meatballs than she ever could have imagined throughout the creative process, but we say (as evidenced by the above portrait) it was totally worth it.
