When we asked Grimes to contribute a track to the Ad Hoc Kickstarter compilation, the Montreal-based siren got together with some Majical Cloudz and recorded a song in the namesake of Ad Hoc co-founder Ric Leichtung. Here in the virtual Ad Hoc Tumblr office, we find Mlle. Boucher’s support extremely flattering, although we’re a bit worried that it might be a bit too flattering for Ric’s own good. (Way to go, brother!).

“Song For Ric” is streaming now on Gorilla vs. Bear, where Grimes just premiered it as part of a day-long promotional takeover for her Visions LP, which drops today on 4AD.  Keep your eyes on the site today for more Grimes-curated goodies. It’s actually been renamed “Grimes vs. Bear.”
