Chris White made feature-length film Taken In with just the $8,000 dollars he raised on Kickstarter earlier this year. During post-production, he happened to back another project for the debut CD of Portland-based swing/jazz trio, Boy And Bean. (“Heard about it on the Kickstarter blog, jumped right in,” he says. We love it.)
So him and his editor are listening to Boy and Bean the whole time they’re cutting the thing together, and one day, on a whim, they decide to call up Luke Short (the one on guitar), and ask if they could use a B&B track in their film.
Today, they released a teaser for Taken In, featuring Boy And Bean’s song “Crying My Eyes Out For You.” How’s that for full circle?! And we love the charming, black-and-white trailer — watch it above! Can’t wait for the finished film.
