Designed by a crafty mom, these fun flashcards teach the Arabic alphabet through a set of 28 colorful animals.
Koloud Tarapolsi was frustrated while trying to find a cute and engaging Arabic alphabet poster for her kids, so she took matters into her own hands. The Arabic Alphabet Fun Flashcards are the happy result. Say marhaba to our Project of the Day.
Ah, to be a kid on Halloween: Dressed to the nines in your scariest costume, roaming the streets of your once-normal neighborhood, candy bag in hand, prickling with suspense over what might lurk around any corner.
Thankfully, leaving childhood behind doesn’t mean we have to abandon the Halloween experience. Enter Trick or Treat, a rummy-style card game that pits costumed players against each other for candy supremacy — while trying to avoid the neighborhood bully. To make things really spooky, there’s even a haunted house. As the instructions put it, you can “lure your friends in to make victory that much sweeter.”
We think this project is plenty sweet — and right on time! — as our Project of the Day.

ZigZag City Guides are fun travel guides created just for kids, but we have no problem admitting how much we like them and/or would use them. Each city’s guide features a deck of 20 cards to encourage exploration and adventure, a map, and a carrying folder. They’re so neat that we’re seriously considering buying a set for New York — even though we live here. (Don’t tell.)
Neve + Hawk are a Charleston-based husband-and-wife duo crafting handmade children’s clothes. Each piece in the line features original artwork, because, according to the creators, “art is damn important.” We couldn’t agree more! Especially when art = robots riding buffalos. Just sayin’.
