Looks like a fun game night with The New Science!
Ten victory points.
Settlers of Catan is a tabletop game that inspires fevered devotion, fierce competition — and a constant search for a better game board.
Creator Tim Walsh thinks he’s finally figured it out. Hexels are modular hexagonal pieces that hold the games tiles, magnetically join together, and can be stored in the same box as the game itself. Game on, settlers — Hexels is our Project of the Day.
Ready, set, float!
Quicksilver is a tabletop game that pits dueling zeppelin pilots against each other in a Victorian-era race through the skies.
The creators successfully funded their game on Kickstarter this summer, and have spent the fall fine-tuning the manufacturing specs, finishing the highly detailed illustrations, and designing backers’ exclusive rewards.
As the team prepares to finalize production of the game itself, a new update reveals one of Quicksilver’s most exciting rewards. As promised, illustrator Randy Field has drawn seven Kickstarter backers (including a stand-in hedgehog!) into one of the game’s cards. We can only imagine that their reactions to the game itself will be a little more… positive!
